Wilson Shade President Dan Wilson grew up around construction and his father’s businesses.
One of his early jobs was shoveling asphalt in the Florida heat. It wasn’t glamorous, but it taught lessons that have stayed with him:
Work hard. Do what you say you’ll do. Stand behind your work. Solve the problem.
Dan later built a career in technology and business, but he never lost his connection to construction or the satisfaction that comes from making something tangible better.

Wilson Shade is based in Cary and primarily serves homeowners throughout Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Wake Forest, Chapel Hill, and nearby Triangle communities.
Even though it’s a bit of a drive, we’ll also serve Wilson, NC, since we share the same name. (Ever seen the Whirligigs in the park?)
For larger commercial work, Wilson Commercial Building Systems supports projects throughout North Carolina and selected markets across the Southeast.
North Carolina is our home market and the center of our operations.
